Browncoats are Unstoppable!
It's official! The Big Damn Heroes have climbed back aboard Serenity and are traversing the Black again!
Comic-Con 2014 was an amazing event for Browncoats the world over. For the first time since "Serenity" (2005). the entire crew has reunited in their roles and aim to keep misbehaving. The fantastic Nathan Fillion, Captain Tightpants himself, helped us make the announcement with a shiny little cameo in our new trailer. The trailer also features some of my new music for the game. We opened our Comic-Con panel with this new trailer and the room packed with loyal Browncoats erupted with cheers and applause. So much so that we had to play the trailer a second time so that the dialog (and music *wink*) could be heard.
We've got a ship and a captain, but what would that amount to without a crew? The incredible Adam Baldwin, currently kicking ass on TNT's "The Last Ship" is back to fill the mercenary void as Jayne. The gorram talented Alan Tudyk is at Serenity's helm again as Wash as well as a not so warm and fuzzy additional character. Our beloved Shepard, Ron Glass, is back and hopefully packing strawberries. The great Sean Maher (Dr. Simon Tam) is on board to patch up your boo-boos. His sister River (Summer Glau) will delightfully damage your calm once more. Beautiful and talented Gina Torres (Zoe) will cover everyone's ass in a shootout… or bar brawl. Serenity will keep flying thanks to the mechanical genius (and pep and cuteness) of gifted and gorgeous Jewel Staite (Kaylee). Classing it up, as always, is the alluring and wonderful Morena Baccarin (Inara). If you need a job, one of the folks you can look to for employment rom (if you're feeling particularly lucky) is Mal's old pal Niska (Michael Fairman).
On top of the original cast, we've also got some amazing talents entering the 'Verse for the first time The beautiful and incredibly talented Kelly Hu will be playing Whisper, another potential employer who can hook you up with some work. I'm also thrilled to announce that sci-fi pro Michael Dorn (Star Trek: The Next Generation's Worf) is voicing another key character.
It was a real honor to be on our Comic-Con panel and to join my shipmates Andy Gore, Andrea Romano, John "O'Neill, Adam Cogan, and Ben Lichius on stage. It was an absolute thrill to feel the energy in the room as we demoed the game for the first time. And it was a special joy and honor for me to share some of the music that I'm creating to accompany you through the 'Verse.
Above is a photo of all of the unbelievably awesome Browncoats who came to our panel. I know many of you didn't get in, but your show of support didn't go unnoticed. WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
More Firefly music news on the way soon!
